Employee Profile: Diego Leal Espinoza
If you’ve been to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp in the last two years, you have probably met Maxi’s protege, Diego. He’s been a wonderful addition to the board cage with his kindness and relaxed energy. We elected to get to know him a little better in this month’s employee profile.
H ow long have you been working at Witch’s Rock?
I’ve been working at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp for 3 years 1 month. I started on November 17, 2016.
What is your job at Witch’s Rock?
I have the best job at Witch’s Rock. I work in the board cage and share happiness, giving out surf boards.
Favorite time of the year in Tamarindo?
In November, when a lot of return guests that I know visit.
What are your favorite customers?
I have a lot! David, Carol, Tom and Alana. The entire Thanksgiving group that comes every year too!
Do you surf or have you ever tried surfing?
Not currently. I was trying but I had an accident and I no longer have ligaments in my right shoulder. I lost strength and haven’t been able to rebuild it.
What makes working at WR special?
We’re all friends, even the bosses.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I spend time at home and dance. I’m good at dancing :-)
