Everybody falls. Then everybody gets back on the board and goes again.
What Beginners Usually Ask.
Will I be the worst one there?
There's nobody to be worse than. You're in the water with two other beginners and one coach, all learning the same thing. And nobody here cares how good you are. That's the whole point.
Am I too old to learn?
Being comfortable in the ocean matters more than your age. We've taught seven year olds and seventy year olds in the same week.
Is it safe for a first timer?
Every coach is a certified lifeguard, and Tamarindo has lifeguards on the beach all day. You learn out front in waist deep water with a sand bottom. No boat trip to somewhere remote.
My partner doesn't surf. Can they come?
Yes. As long as one of you is in the surf program, you share a room at camp and your partner pays $50 a night. That covers breakfast, yoga, the pool and the beach tours
